You can rename or change an entry (Macro or Macro Group) by double clicking it, or delete it by selecting it and pressing the Delete key. The new Macro will be created in the same Macro Group as you currently have selected, or the Global Macro Group if no item is selected. A Macro Editor window will appear and allow you to define your new Macro. You can create a new Macro by clicking the New Macro button. Typically a group’s Macros would be active everywhere (All Applications), or it might be specific to a particular application (Only these Applications) in which case you might name the Macro Group after the application. A sheet will appear allowing you to enter the name of the group and choose the applications in which the group’s Macros should be active. It takes a little understanding to figure out a solution at times, but the forums on KeyboardMaestro have always weighed-in quickly with solutions to my questions. I mention this here because the reasons I sometimes am drawn to seeking a solution for something is because I want my mac to behave in a way that I want it to behave and not so much because I think like a programmer. Javascript s also very useful and easier on my brain to understand than AppleScript. I love what it does, but I hate trying to understand it’s logic. I have dabbled in AppleScript and love it - hate it.

We all have our preferences about software we like, but KeyboardMaestro just works, works well, and is advanced and complex and at the same time, is very approachable. KeyboardMaestro is maybe the one app that I could not do without. I look forward to enabling many more of the features in KM as I find the need.
